General Laborer Job Description Join our team as a General Laborer, where you will assist with concrete production, including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing processes. Your role will involve loading, unloading, and moving raw materials, tools, and finished products. You will perform general site or plant cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment, operate basic hand tools and power tools, and support skilled trades and equipment operators as directed by supervisors. Following all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards is essential. Responsibilities Assist with concrete production, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing processes. Load, unload, and move raw materials, tools, and finished products. Perform general site or plant cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Operate basic hand tools and power tools (training provided as needed). Support skilled trades and equipment operators as directed by supervisors. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards. Perform other general labor duties as assigned. Operate sit-down forklift and stage materials. Staging the yard for pick-ups and deliveries. Essential Skills General labor experience Production knowledge Ability to operate hand tools and power tools Forklift operation Material handling Basic packing and loading skills Additional Skills & Qualifications 1 year of construction or physically demanding job experience Ability to navigate a straight ruler Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with half-day Fridays. Expect to work mandatory overtime, totaling 45-50 hours a week. This is a physical job requiring the ability to lift 50 lbs multiple times per shift. The environment is very dirty, requiring steel-toed boots, jeans, and a shirt. You will be working outdoors in the summer heat. The position is seasonal, with layoffs in December and potential rehire in March/April, depending on weather conditions. Attendance and reliability are crucial. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Beaver Dam, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
