Job Description

Full-Time General Labor Loos Machine & Automation LLC began in 1902 as a small maintenance and repair shop for local farmers. Over the years Loos has transitioned into a thriving business that paves the path for the food processing industry. Loos Machine & Automation provides automation, engineering, machining, fabrication, process, and installation. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities utilize modern techniques and machines. With the company's continued success, we are adding to our team. The General Laborer is the front-end employee who performs the material handling, job sorting, deburring, and polishing of each part that is cut out on our fiber laser. This position is responsible for bringing each part up to the specific finish that is listed on the associated prints.
Responsibilities:
Grind, sand, clean, and finish parts using appropriate tools, equipment, and abrasives to achieve specified surface finishes Observe, measure, and inspect parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy Deburr, polish, and prepare surfaces for further manufacturing processes Preform bead blasting tasks as needed Execute minor assembly Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications accurately Handle and organize materials, assist in job setup, sorting, and workflow coordination Maintain equipment and tooling, reporting any issues or maintenance needs Keep a clean, organized and safe work area in compliance with company safety and quality protocols
Requirements:
Previous experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, or general labor preferred Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurements Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to sand, bend, lift, and move materials thought the shift Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting
