Primary Operations:

Laser cutting (sheet and tube), fiber-optic tube laser, turret punch press, CNC forming, tube bending, welding (including robotic), powder coating, band saw cutting.

Secondary Operations:

CNC milling, riveting, PEM insert installation, assembly, quality control. Summary:

Sprays powder paint on metal fabricated parts as indicated on the shop order. Job position requires rotation to other roles which includes hanging parts on the paint line, assembling finished components, secondary operation and packaging per shop order by performing the following duties according to Standard Operating Procedures. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assures proper use of painting equipment, paint suits and respiratory paint hoods.
• Using powder coat spray guns assures proper coverage of parts.
• Hangs parts on paint line per shop order and in a manner that improves efficiency and line density.
• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files, hand drills and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
• Touches up parts with paint as needed.
• Operates drill presses, pemming, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
• Inspects parts to assure that all processes have been completed and match the Shop Order.
• Packages parts per shop orders.
• Assures that all safety procedures, inspections procedures, start-up procedures and housekeeping procedures are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.
