The Scheduling/Stacking Clerk role is valuable because it helps coordinate the flow of products and ensures warehouse operations stay organized and efficient. They help schedule stacking and allocating orders correctly, prioritize stacking items, and coordinate stacking and storage to make the best use of warehouse space. This role helps reduce delays, prevent bottlenecks, improve inventory flow, and keep operations running safely and smoothly. Ultimately, a strong Scheduling/Stacking Warehouse Clerk supports productivity, organization, timely shipments, and overall warehouse efficiency.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Verify inbound paperwork including purchase orders, packing lists, BOLs, ASNs, and customer-specific documentation. Create and issue receiving documents for warehouse staff (receiving packets, SKU lists, pallet tags, etc.). Enter inbound receipts into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP in real time. Upload or attach receiving documents digitally for audit and customer review. Ensure all receipts are completed accurately with correct SKU, lot, batch, expiration, pallet count, and location data. Maintain daily receiving logs, inbound discrepancy reports, and customer-specific tracking sheets. Work with 3PL's to investigate quantity or SKU discrepancies during receiving. Flag and document damage, shortages, or overages according to internal SOPs. Coordinate with Quality, Inventory Control, or Supervisors for product holds, re-inspections, or rework needs. Assist in cycle counts related to recently received product. Communicate receiving priorities to warehouse staff based on space, urgency, or customer requirements. Coordinate with the Main Receiving Lead, supervisors, and managers to resolve issues impacting inbound workflow. Notify customer service, account managers, or 3PL teams about inbound problems, documentation errors, or delayed receipts. Interface with carriers and drivers professionally and ensure compliance with facility safety rules. Maintain compliance with plant and customer SOPs, food safety, and inventory control standards. Ensure that all receiving paperwork is legible, complete, and audit ready. Follow all plant inbound guidelines for labeling, lot numbers, etc.KEY REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Ability to read and interpret receiving paperwork, SKUs, and customer documentation. High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or 3PL logistics. Experience with WMS/ERP systems and strong data-entry accuracy preferred. Strong communication skills and professional interaction with drivers and internal teams. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, inbound environment. Forklift experience and familiarity with cheese/ingredient inventory preferred Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and traceability standards Fluency in English required Authorization to work in the U.S required Physical Requirements- Ability to work in office and warehouse environments.
- Walking between docks and receiving office as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40-60lbs for paperwork, samples, or small items.
