The Warehouse/Backup Driver increases operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring complete and on-time orders for the company's customers. Responsibilities Include:
Pick, fill, and pack orders on a timely basis to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries - including picking pipe and wire cutting when applicable. Load and unload materials and trucks Safely utilize power equipment when necessary to fulfill orders and restock warehouse shelves. Keep the warehouse clean and organized including disposal of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard Maintain accurate inventory management and take inventory of materials shipped or received. Refill primary bins using proper procedures and minimizing open boxes Receive and process incoming stock and materials Deliver products to customers in absence of FT driver Communicate with other departments and branches regarding order status or inventory issues. Work in a team environment to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse Education Highschool diploma or GED Experience and/or Training 1 year working in a warehouse environment as a team member, working with power equipment such as forklifts, and pulling orders. A solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes Minimum 1 year experience driving a medium-duty commercial or delivery vehicle in all weather conditions Takes initiative while displaying leadership qualities Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with team members Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team Ability to work safely and accurately Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) and reading skills Detail oriented, organized, consistent, and tenacious Organized with strong time management skills 2+ years in a warehouse setting, working with power equipment, an RF Scanner, a forklift, wire cutting, and pulling orders preferred Licenses/Certificates Valid US Driver's license Clean Driving Record Up-to-date federal medical card preferred We are committed to providing salary ranges for open positions.
