Job Description

Job Title:
General Laborer Job Description The General Laborer supports production by assisting on Flexo machines that fold, stack, and package finished corrugated products. In this role, you work at the front of the machine in a feeding position, loading raw stock and monitoring product flow. Responsibilities Assist in operating Flexo machines that fold, stack, and package finished corrugated products. Feed raw stock into the front of the machines in a steady and accurate manner to maintain production flow. Set up machines as directed, including preparing materials and ensuring equipment is ready for production. Load machines with required materials and monitor levels to prevent downtime. Inspect products during and after production to verify quality and identify defects. Perform basic quality control checks and follow established quality standards and procedures. Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring correct stacking, bundling, and labeling. Assist with general labor tasks on the production floor as needed to support overall operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the machines and production line. Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting practices and proper use of equipment. Stand for extended periods and lift 10-30 lbs consistently, and up to 50+ lbs as required by the job. Work overtime as needed, including extending the regular shift by coming in early or staying late. Essential Skills At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a machine operating or production role. Previous experience with machine operation, production, or general labor in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform basic machine setup tasks under guidance. Experience with inspection and quality control in a production setting. Ability to load and feed machines safely and efficiently. Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the shift. Ability to lift 10-30 lbs on a regular and frequent basis. Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day. High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated longevity and reliability in previous jobs, showing consistent work history. Comfort working with larger products and materials, rather than small hand-assembly work. Attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues in finished products. Willingness to perform repetitive and sometimes mundane tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience working with Flexo or corrugated packaging machines is a plus. Experience in packaging, assembly, or general labor within a production facility. Strong work ethic and dependability, with a track record of consistent attendance. Ability to work effectively in a noisy, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Comfort working in a smaller plant environment with a close-knit production team. Flexibility to work extended hours when production demands require longer shifts. Why Work Here? 10:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnson Creek, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
