Job Description:
Principal Function:
The General Laborer performs a variety of general laboring duties and cleans equipment, floors and offices.
Primary Functions:
Reporting directly to Production Supervisor responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following: Cleaning assigned processing equipment Assisting with label changes Picking up and/or moving materials and machine parts Provide support for break relief Sorting cans for visual defects
Duties And Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Production Planning Manager, the Shipping Department Coordinator will: Clean assigned processing equipment of lacquers, greases, inks, or other foreign matters by scraping and/or wiping with solvents Collecting scrap cans on a continuous basis and transport to baler area and operate baler Start and Stop assigned equipment Empty trash cans and transport all refuse to disposal area (no scrap or spoilage) Stack empty pallets or skids as directed Sweep and/or mop floors Maintain records of production and spoilage by area as required Keep assigned area in clean and orderly condition Responsible for practicing safety and housekeeping in all assigned areas Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (Associates Degree or technical training from a trade school is a plus) Must possess a mechanical aptitude and precision ability is highly desirable Must be available to work 12 hour shifts, rotating 4 days on/4 days off schedule which may fall on holidays, weekends, or nights as business needs What Crown Offers You Strong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employees The opportunity to build a meaningful career Professional and personal development through training and work experiences Join us and become part of a team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!
