6:00am-3:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Retrieve materials, merchandise, and supplies from storage bins, racks, shelves, and designated inventory locations
- Load, unload, move, and transport materials within warehouses, production facilities, and work areas
- Stage and deliver materials to production lines or designated departments to support operational needs
- Review and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules to determine material movement requirements
- Open and prepare containers using appropriate hand tools and equipment while following safety procedures
- Label, tag, and identify materials and containers to ensure proper inventory control and traceability
- Accurately record quantities received, moved, issued, or shipped using production logs, inventory systems, and work tickets
- Conduct inventory transactions and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely material availability
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while meeting productivity standards
Material Handler Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Forklift Operator, or related position preferred
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, shipping documents, and inventory records
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scanners (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
