Job Description

These positions operate on a 12 hour shift, 2, 2, 3, rotation. Night shift earns a shift differential of $3.00/hr. Hours worked on a weekend earn a differential of $1.50/hr for Saturdays and Sundays. $1,500 signing bonus payable at 6- and 12- months of continuous employment. Open positions on day and night shift Summary We are looking for a self-motivated and professional material handler to join our team. This position will require the individual to work with little to no supervision while being responsible for shipping and receiving, documenting orders, staging and stocking, etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time. Load and unload inventory from loading docks, rail spur/railcar, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas. Ensuring all incoming deliveries match company purchase and/or receiving orders. Update Epicor with received goods/materials. Computer skills necessary. Interface with shipping office. Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory. Operate various machinery including forklifts to handle materials and inventory. Stage and stock resins and films as needed. Comply with all safety and health regulations. Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation. Demonstrate open-mindedness, flexibility, in the face of changes, unforeseen situations and difficulties. Communicate clearly with individuals at all levels within the team. Excellent time management and self-direction skills. Other duties as assigned. Three to five years related experience and/or training. Experience with forklifts in warehouse setting is a must. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mathematical ability necessary. Ability to work in various departments. Basic computer skills required. Language Skills English Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employees are required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Pulls hand trucks to lift and move 500lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is working in an environment of fast moving equipment.
