Job Description

Job Summary Business in Seymour, WI is seeking a general laborer / equipment operator to support manufacturing and business needs. This position will complete general tasks in support of manufacturing processes, yard functions and maintenance. Tasks will be completed in a safe and timely manner. Manufacturing process and heavy equipment operations techniques will be trained / learned on the job. This position plays a key role in all operational and maintenance processes. The role, performs the following functions/duties (not an all-inclusive list);
  • Operating various pieces of heavy equipment (skid steer, front end loader, etc.) to load/unload semi-trailers, push material etc.
  • Move trailers and equipment in yard.
  • Work on assigned task as given by operations, maintenance lead and /or recycling lead
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Take direction on regular and miscellaneous tasks that are given
  • Competent in working independently as well as in a team atmosphere
  • Able to work under pressure, strong time management skills & be an effective listener
  • Assist in off-site work if needed periodically Experience, Education and Job requirements:
  • One plus years of related experience & equipment operations
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED and industry experience
  • Ability to adapt to operational changes , customer demands and fast safe pace of operations
  • Possess communication and team skills to motivate others to accomplish their duties
  • Must be able to perform corrective action, and reason through issues as necessary
  • Ability to work with fellow employees to accomplish established goals
  • Proven experience with good ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to use or to learn how to use hand and power tools
  • Able to interact with fellow employees and management
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Must be able to physically climb ladders and cat walks on trailers
Hours:
  • Monday
  • Friday available 6:30 am
  • 4pm (hours may vary) & April
  • July, alternating Saturdays 7am-12pm
  • Overtime 15 to 30%
