General Laborer Job Description This general labor role involves supporting multiple functions within a production shop, including operating molding machines, blending different colors of plastics, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position serves as a floater across departments, providing broad exposure to various aspects of the operation. Responsibilities Operate molding machines safely and efficiently according to established procedures. Blend different colors of plastics to meet production specifications and quality standards. Perform general labor tasks throughout the shop as assigned, supporting multiple departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by regularly cleaning up the shop. Handle materials and products, including lifting items weighing between 50 and 100 pounds. Follow all safety guidelines and production instructions to ensure consistent output. Assist team members and supervisors with daily production needs and workflow. Adapt to different tasks and departments as a floater, learning new processes and equipment. Essential Skills Ability to safely lift and move 50-100 pounds on a regular basis. At least 1 year of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Willingness to perform a variety of general labor tasks across different departments. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and quality procedures. Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with ERP or SAP systems. Prior experience in plastic production or molding environments. Interest in learning multiple roles and processes across a production shop. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production shop environment on a 1st shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work around molding machines, plastic blending operations, and general manufacturing equipment. The position involves regular physical activity, including lifting and moving heavier items, and requires adherence to safety practices appropriate for an active shop floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterford, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
