Job Description Position Purpose:
Responsible for reviewing and approving hazardous and non-hazardous material for disposal in accordance with site capabilities, approved permits, and appropriate regulatory requirements. Determines acceptability or rejection of chemical components of materials utilizing analytical data, MSDS's, and facility information. Ensures that the approval process is in proper compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures. Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Waste Review & Approval- Review WIP, SDS, and waste profiles with meticulous attention to detail to prevent unsafe materials from entering operations Discrepancy Management
- Identify, track, and resolve off-specification waste issues in FMS and Salesforce systems Labpack Audits
- Conduct detailed audits and reviews of labpack shipments prior to acceptance Approvals Enrichment
- Maintain and enhance approval data in FMS database Customer Communication
- Provide timely feedback to branches and customers regarding waste opportunities Quality Assurance
- Support field operations with drum segregation oversight and chemical/waste compliance verification Technical Support
- Serve as technical resource for incineration and landfill operations; assist or backup process planners as needed Tracks individual profiles to ensure that approvals are completed in a reasonable amount of time to meet scheduled incineration.
