Problem Gambling Services Prevention Coordinator
ADEPT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MAINE 6
East Chestnut Street, Augusta, ME 04330 Reporting to ADEPT Educational Institute of Maine's Director of Operations, the Problem Gambling Services Prevention Coordinator is responsible for contract deliverables and programming under the Problem Gambling Services Contract with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and Maine CDC. Required Qualifications:
Degree in behavioral health, public health, prevention, or related fields. 2+ years' work experience in program coordination 2+ years' work experience in behavioral health, prevention, public health or related field Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint Proficient in Zoom Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, public health, prevention, or related fields IC&RC Prevention Specialist Certification Experience supporting diverse audiences at varying skill levels Essential Tasks Support the development and implementation of problem gambling prevention and responsible gambling communication campaigns. Facilitate completion of deliverables under assigned contract Research, create, and implement problem gambling educational opportunities engaging multiple audiences in prevention and responsible gambling topics. Take the lead on developing relationships with middle and high schools, youth groups, and colleges and universities with the goal of introducing problem gambling and/or responsible gambling to staff and students in an appropriate way for each audience. Assist with planning and implementation of projects such as mini-grants and consortiums. Proactively find opportunities to staff problem gambling resource tables at events and facilities. Proactively find opportunities for utilization of the graphic medicine "Against the Odds." Assist in planning and coordination of annual problem gambling awareness conference. Assist in the oversight and technical assistance to gambling self-exclusion sites in public health districts. Assist in providing remote self-exclusion services. Promote problem gambling screening to multiple audiences through in person presentations and communication strategies. Assist in completing all required reporting to Maine CDC. Other duties and projects as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks in an office environment Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time Ability to lift and move a maximum of 40lbs. Travel Requirements Travel may be required to events within Maine. Reliable transportation is required.
