Job Description
The purpose of this job is to supervise crews engaged in the handling, sorting and baling of recycled material and in the support for Solid Waste operations. Coordinates and evaluates work of assigned staff. Operates and maintains equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered Education and Experience High school diploma.
Knowledge of:
Standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of building trades. Heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance. General office practices and administrative procedures, records management and administration techniques and procedures. Job specific equipment and materials. Common business software applications such as Microsoft Office. Work safety rules and regulations.Skill in:
Monitoring and assessing the performance of employees to make improvements or take corrective action Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience Developing and maintaining effective working relationships Ability to: Use and maintain heavy equipment and hand and power tools. Handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Provide high levels of effective customer service. Effectively plan and delegate the work of others and to train and/or supervise the work of others. Read and follow construction plans and specifications. Maintain detailed and accurate records. Recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Regularly use a computer, software, phone and related office equipment. Focus on tasks. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
