Job Description

This position supports the daily operations of the Amherst Transfer Station, including assisting residents with recycling and waste disposal, operating light equipment, maintaining facility cleanliness, monitoring permits and sorting areas, and supporting winter operations and other DPW duties as assigned. Position Details Grade 3
Position Starting Pay:
$23.43/hour Wage adjusted based on qualifications and experience Full-time, 40 hours per week Responsibilities Include Assisting residents and commercial users Monitoring recycling and waste disposal activities Operating loaders, trucks, and compactors Maintaining safe and clean facility conditions Supporting winter operations and emergency response activities Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid NH Driver's License Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to operate light equipment preferred Solid waste or public works experience preferred Additional licenses and certifications may be required.
