CR Sustainability manages waste diversion operations at major venues across the country. In Portland, we support one of the city's largest sports and entertainment venues during games, concerts, and special events. Our teams help ensure trash, recycling, and compost are handled correctly while keeping thousands of pounds of material out of landfills. We are growing quickly and looking for strong leaders who can build teams, run operations, and deliver results in fast-paced environments. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall success of one primary venue operation. This is an on-site leadership role. You are expected to be physically present during events, directing the team, monitoring execution, solving problems in real time, and ensuring the operation runs safely and successfully. This is not a desk job and not a stand-back position. You lead from the field, maintain standards, and step in when needed to keep the team moving. What You'll Do Lead all event operations at your assigned primary venue Supervise Sr. Team Members and frontline staff during events Build schedules and help ensure proper staffing coverage for all events Address call-outs, attendance issues, and last-minute coverage needs Hold employees accountable to performance, professionalism, attendance, and safety expectations Coach employees, develop strong performers, and help identify future leaders Partner with HR regarding hiring, discipline, investigations, and employee relations matters when needed Be physically present during events to direct workflow and ensure successful execution Walk the operation regularly, monitor standards, and identify issues before they grow Make real-time decisions regarding staffing, assignments, workflow, and priorities Ensure accurate sorting operations across trash, recycling, and compost streams Maintain safe, organized, and professional work areas Ensure timekeeping records are accurate and submitted timely Document incidents, injuries, staffing concerns, and operational issues as needed Step into hands-on operational support when volume is high, staffing is short, or the team needs immediate help While this role is centered on one primary venue, flexibility to travel and support other company locations is required when business needs arise Travel may be needed for major events, temporary coverage, training support, or new site launches When You'll Work This role is tied to the event calendar of the assigned venue. Presence during events is essential. Shifts may occur during the day, evening, overnight, weekends, or holidays Weekly hours may vary based on scheduled events Busy event periods may require extended hours Flexibility and dependable availability are important for success in this role What We're Looking For Prior experience supervising teams in fast-paced operations, events, facilities, warehouse, janitorial, or similar environments Strong leadership presence and ability to direct teams confidently and professionally Able to hold standards while maintaining respect and composure Calm under pressure when operations become hectic Strong judgment and ability to solve problems in real time Organized and able to manage schedules, staffing, and follow-up responsibilities Leads from the front and is never above helping when needed Comfortable working on-site in active operational environments for extended shifts Strong communicator with employees, management, and client contacts Able to read, write, speak, and understand English and Spanish Comfortable using Excel, email, scheduling tools, and mobile technology Stadium, venue, waste diversion, or large-event experience is a strong plus
Compensation & Benefits:
