Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Waste Handler to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing waste disposal processes, maintaining cleanliness in the facility, and ensuring compliance with environmental safety standards. Your proactive approach will help uphold our commitment to a safe, clean, and environmentally responsible workplace. Duties Collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and company policies Operate waste management equipment safely, including compactors and dumpsters Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks Assist in recycling efforts by segregating recyclable materials from waste streams Conduct regular inspections of waste disposal areas to ensure safety and compliance Follow proper procedures for hazardous waste handling as required by environmental services standards Support overall janitorial and sanitation activities to uphold a hygienic work environment Skills Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to waste handling and environmental safety Experience in cleaning, sanitation, or custodial roles within industrial or commercial settings Familiarity with environmental services protocols and waste disposal regulations Prior janitorial or custodial experience, especially in hospital or healthcare environments preferred Ability to operate Forklift and perform basic maintenance tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Excellent communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures diligently Join us at Strong Spas where your efforts contribute directly to a safer, cleaner workplace while supporting our mission of quality craftsmanship!
