Position Summary
The EDS Maintenance Program Coordinator is responsible for effective work planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking of environmental, maintenance and vegetation activities in support of EDS Distribution objectives and the distribution system reliability performance. Monitors and controls the program processes, reports process efficiencies, makes process improvement recommendations, and implements approved changes.
Tasks and Responsibilities Coordinates transportation and disposal of shipments in a timely manner to ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines. Prepares and signs all legal manifests and related documents for waste to be shipped to approved disposal facilities.
Maintains accurate records regarding the quantity, location, disposition of electrical equipment and waste materials designated for disposal or for reuse.
Updates and maintain the "Waste Management Tracking System" database.
Communicates with Environmental Compliance to keep current on regulations governing the handling, storage, transportation and disposal of regulated materials.
Manages Distribution Environmental training and oil spill notification and environmental clean-up programs
Assist Environmental Compliance in conducting environmental site audits of waste disposal facilities to evaluate their operations and determine their suitability for use.
Manages contractors and/or CPS crews in the cleanup of spills from oil filled electrical equipment at the Transformer Shop, Substation sites and other field sites as needed; conducts sample collection and analysis and spill report preparation.
Schedules the delivery, pick-up and invoicing of assets processed by the Transformer Shop (e.g., junk transformers, lead covered cables, bushings, network protectors, etc.)
Maintains compliance with State and Federal Environmental Agencies.
Coordinates capital projects and maintenance orders including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, schedules and resource requirements
Monitors and tracks project, program and portfolio performance
Performs analysis of data and requests to determine trends and inefficiencies and create and maintain a multi-year program portfolio and workforce plan
Identifies improvements in existing processes and maintains process documentation
Develops reports to help facilitate completion of construction or maintenance related tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy of resources managed
Manages the Vegetation Management schedule
Manages monthly and annual metrics to monitor efficiency
Assists in development and delivery of process and project, program and portfolio training
Maintains a multi-year program portfolio
Reports portfolio project schedule, maintenance progress and risks to management and makes recommendations for mitigating risk
Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Skills

Working Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours work may be required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & ability to adjust focus. Work indoors & outdoors in extreme temp to the extent of the weather conditions.
