This innovative program provides direct engagement and supportive services such as gasoline, jump-starts, tire repair and tire inflation, encouraging voluntary compliance for individuals living in vehicles—particularly RVs—within the City of Seattle. This position plays a key role in building trust with vehicle residents, connecting them to critical resources, and supporting SPU's mission to ensure public health and environmental protection in the public right-of-way. The role works closely with Parking Enforcement, the Unified Care Team (UCT), and a network of City and community partners. This opportunity is expected to last up to 1-year in duration and is open to all qualified candidates.

TLT Vehicle Support Program Manager :

Coordinate with contractor to deliver on-site services, providing gas, jump starts, tire repair/inflation, and other vehicle assistance. Engagement with individuals living in vehicles (primarily RVs) to build rapport and assess vehicle needs. Connect residents to services such as sanitation, trash disposal Coordinate with SPU's Field Operations, Parking Enforcement, and the Unified Care Team to implement supportive interventions at priority RV sites. Track and document site conditions using data systems to support program reporting and evaluation. Assist in planning and executing cleaning events in RV-impacted areas. Promote respectful and equitable approaches to engagement with vehicle residents. Support the development of tools, procedures, and program materials to guide implementation of the Vehicle Support Pilot. Qualifications Experience :

Two (2) years of experience in planning and research related to land use, urban economics, human services, environmental issues, conservation; or other work directly related to City planning and development activities;

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Planning , Urban Design, Environmental Studies, Public Administration or related field OR, if no degree two (2) additional years of relevant experience. Combinations of appropriate education, training, certification, and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability to the minimum education and experience requirements.

License Requirement :

At the time of appointment, must hold a valid Washington State Driver License or evidence of equivalent mobility

Workplace Environment :

This position requires the selected candidate to work five (5) days of field work , and the specific schedule will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor. Primarily Day Shift; (May require some off-shift evening and/or weekend assignments). Site visitations can deal with hazardous material handling.
