The Sanitation Worker I works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment and helps in the removal of refuse. Functions of the

Position:

Works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment, and helps in the removal a refuse, using the following tools: broom, brushes, sprays bottles, mop and ringer, squeegee, water gun, air gun and vacuum. Works safely and is aware of surroundings at all times. Trains on and performs 7 steps of dry sanitation and/ or 7 steps of wet cleaning to perform routine cleaning on assigned equipment - including assembly and disassembly of assigned equipment. Completes required training courses, reads, and signs off on required SSOPS and paperwork, works with other sanitation staff to learn to perform sanitation across facility. Maintains work area and ensures area is clean before leaving for the day.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

Previous sanitation experience is a plus.
