N/A JOB OVERVIEW
Under general supervision, the Sanitation Technician 1 engages in sanitation related functions ensuring the cleanliness of the Main Production Line (MPL) and office areas. Supports plant quality assurance initiatives and adheres to Blue Diamond HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows established schedules and standard operating procedures for cleaning and/or sanitizing of assigned areas which includes: Proper chemical usage Usage of cleaning utensils and equipment (vacuums, brooms, mops, steam cleaners, air hose, rakes, floor scrubber, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Operating golf carts to properly reach each department throughout the site Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and established safety practices Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Department Manager, Supervisor, or Shift Lead.
WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum requirements High school diploma or GED Basic custodial / sanitation experience of 1 year Previous experience working with cleaning chemicals (household & industrial) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking, and lifting (at times 25-30 lbs.). Ability to obtain BDG forklift certification
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, almond dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
