Street Sweeper Driver/Mechanic

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Street Sweeper Driver/Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept construction jobsites. This energetic position combines driving a street sweeper with hands-on mechanical work, ensuring equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating specialized machinery, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with Heavy Civil Construction jobsite cleanliness. Your expertise will help enhance the cleanliness and safety of our community. Duties Safely operate street sweeping vehicles to clean streets, parking lots, and any area needed on construction sites. Conduct daily inspections of street sweeper equipment, performing minor repairs and troubleshooting mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment adjustments to ensure optimal operation Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment such as street sweepers, excavators, or similar machinery Experience operating power tools and hand tools safely in outdoor environments Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, bending, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a plus but not required Join us in keeping our community vibrant and safe!
