The Sanitation Technician will work under the Sanitation S and with the Production Team, Production Manager and Plant Manager to ensure that production is able to start on time.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Goal of 95% or higher on monthly environmental swabbing (Listeria, Salmonella and APC) Goal of 95% or higher on pre-ops visual inspection and ATP swabbing. Attention to detail cleaning in all areas of facility. Follow Sanitation SOPs (SSOP). Track chemical dilution/ usage daily. Track chemical inventory daily. Follow Sanitation Program as outlines in SOP. Follow and complete Master Sanitation Schedule daily Fill out paperwork as duties are completed on Master Sanitation Schedule. Interface with Sanitation Supervisor on all equipment issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication and administration skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow instructions and procedures, as well as communicate them in detail for refresher trainings or new hires. Ability to multitask and manage situations with the appropriate urgency. Ability to work in fast-paced and evolving work environment. Ability to work both independently and on a team. Ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and discern discrepancies. Problem solving skills necessary for troubleshooting processes. Analyze potential changes of improvement or otherwise redirect impending issues. Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft office is required. Detailed, reliable, self-motivated, team player. While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to indoor environmental conditions strong odors, chemicals, machinery parts and moving machinery while using hot water. The environment will be wet humid temperatures in the main processing room temperatures, cold temperatures in cooler and freezers and normal temperatures in warehouse and remaining processing areas. Exposer to outside weather elements while doing outside cleaning.
