Landfill Operator Operates a wide variety of light, medium, and limited heavy equipment used in the maintenance and construction at the Gunnison County Landfill. Also performs manual tasks associated with equipment operations and maintenance and construction. Performs operator required maintenance on all equipment used. Pay Rate The hourly pay range is from $24.19 to $27.54, depending on experience, plus full benefits. •The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.• View the full job description here.

Requirements:
Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license. Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment. Willingness to take tetanus and hepatitis shots. Valid Class B CDL preferred. Current flagging certification. Willingness to participate in and complete certification for MSHA Part 46. Qualifications/Education Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent. Minimum of one-year experience related to recycling or solid waste programs and Two (2) years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or Any equivalent combination of education and experience
