Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Technician to perform energy system controls and water treatment processes . Experience in production or manufacturing is highly valued. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience are preferred. Responsibilities Perform water treatment tasks, including sampling and testing water to meet quality standards. Install light maintenance fixes and perform regular equipment checks to support the plant. Carry out forklift operations safely and assist with daily production activities. Utilize energy systems to maintain steady steam pressure and keep plant operations running smoothly. Collaborate with team members to report issues and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Essential Skills 2+ years of agricultural, farm, or construction work experience preferred. Proficiency in safely operating a forklift (at least 1 year of experience). Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical equipment. Knowledgeable in basic industrial electrical systems and production environments. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Capability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including confined spaces and busy industrial areas. Reliability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.), including alternating days and nights. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work at our plant in Nevada, IA , in a hands-on environment that covers both indoor and outdoor areas in all weather conditions. The schedule follows a rotating 12-hour shift . While the dress code is casual to start, you must have your own steel-toed boots ; the company will provide all other necessary uniforms and safety equipment after you are hired. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nevada, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
