Job Description

This position involves high manual labor work as well as physically demanding performance of varied unskilled and semi-skilled tasks. This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Provide assistance to the city refuse drivers by picking up bulk waste from residential dwellings and placing in the back of refuse vehicles. Bulk waste will consist of furniture, household clean-out waste, remodel projects, etc. Deal courteously and effectively with the public. Use safety precautions and equipment. Operate mechanisms, which control the functions of a rear loading refuse truck. Must be at least 18 years old, Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in all temperatures and climates.
