Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of various systems and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge base and the ability to perform heavy lifting as well as basic repairs. The Attendant will play a crucial role in maintaining operational standards and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Wastewater/Sanitation Plant Duties include but are not limited to the following: Check and maintain all lift stations Collect and run test on water samples Check and maintain sludge levels in clarifiers Transfer sludge to holding tanks Clean debris from clarifier pivots Clean debris from clarifier weirs Clean debris from bar screens Clean trash and mildew from clarifiers Measure use of chemicals Clean and maintain Headworks Building, Electrical Building and Lab Check dissolved oxygen levels three times a day, five times a week Street Department Duties include but are not limited to the following: Collect and dispose of yard waste on occasion Mowing and weed trimming at the Town Park, Fire Station, Community Building, Pool, Sanitation Plant, and Lift Stations Bush-hogging roadsides and fields Spraying for mosquitoes Leaf removal Snow removal Maintain the Park Shelter Houses, the Fire Station, and the Community Building. Maintain streets and sidewalks Maintain parking meters Maintain town vehicles Trim trees Repair and/or replace street signs.
Experience and or Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. A solid understanding of mechanical systems and equipment repair techniques.
