Maintenance Mechanic Job Description This entry-level position in the maintenance department involves shadowing all aspects of maintenance and utilities. The role focuses on assisting with daily operations and monitoring of wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, motors, tanks, piping, and related equipment. Responsibilities Assist with daily operation and monitoring of wastewater treatment systems. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs on wastewater and utility equipment. Collect wastewater samples and assist with basic testing and documentation. Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels and report abnormal conditions. Assist with chemical handling, dosing, and inventory under established safety procedures. Respond to alarms or system issues and support troubleshooting efforts. Essential Skills Mechanical ability and knowledge of pumps. Low voltage 24v electrical understanding. Familiarity with safety precautions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with mechanical components, pneumatics, schematics, repair, gearboxes, and bearings. Mechanically inclined with pump knowledge. Preventive maintenance experience and welding. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr. Health, dental, vision and 401k match. Paid PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Greenfield,IN.
