Indianapolis, IN Pay:
Starting at $20.00/hour Do you have experience in industrial sanitation or food manufacturing? Are you looking to join a company focused on innovation, sustainability, and growth? Maple Leaf Foods is hiring a Sanitation Technician for our plant-based protein manufacturing facility on the east side of Indianapolis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing operation in a modern, landfill-free manufacturing facility. What You'll Do As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping our production equipment and facility clean, safe, and production-ready.
Responsibilities Include:
Disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling food processing equipment Following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and SOPs Using approved sanitation chemicals safely and effectively Reading and following production schedules Properly documenting sanitation activities and department records Removing ingredient and chemical barrels as needed Assisting with training and retraining team members Supporting startup and commissioning activities for new equipment and production lines Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment What We Offer We believe in investing in our team members and providing opportunities for growth.

What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing Industrial sanitation or equipment cleaning experience preferred Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and safe handling procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in wet or humid conditions Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and evening/night shifts as needed Ability to learn or operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts About Maple Leaf Foods Maple Leaf Foods is a leading plant-based protein company with brands including Lightlife and Field Roast.
