We proudly serve residential and commercial clients in the area, committed to providing reliable and environmentally responsible waste collection services. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Residential Garbage Collector to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and loading waste from residential properties using rear loading garbage trucks. This position involves riding on the rear of the collection vehicle in residential areas and being exposed to all outdoor weather elements. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will help ensure efficient service while maintaining a clean environment for our community. Responsibilities Operate the hopper controls for a rear loading garbage truck. Load and unload residential waste containers with manual lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge of truck equipment Collect waste from designated residential areas, ensuring timely pickups and customer satisfaction Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Assist with the safe loading and unloading of waste materials during disposal or transfer processes Routes may be trash, recycling, or yard waste. Early morning start times (4:00AM-6:00AM) with an average of 50 hours per week. Experience Prior manual labor experience is preferred Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely in various weather conditions Mechanical knowledge of truck operations and basic maintenance procedures Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and waste handling
