Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our food production and manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a sanitized environment by executing industrial cleaning procedures, handling chemical agents safely, and adhering strictly to sanitation protocols. Your efforts will directly contribute to food safety, regulatory compliance, and a clean, safe workspace for all team members. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facility surfaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents. Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely in accordance with safety protocols and chemical handling procedures. Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain cleanliness standards. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to ensure sanitation processes meet industry regulations for food safety. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing at all times during cleaning activities. Conduct routine sanitation inspections to verify cleanliness levels and document compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Assist with warehouse organization, heavy lifting tasks, and general custodial duties as needed to support overall facility hygiene. This is a third shift position Requirements Prior experience in janitorial work, industrial cleaning, or custodial roles within manufacturing or food processing environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of chemical agents used in sanitation tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of routine cleaning operations. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and maintaining accurate sanitation records. Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety regulations, and safety protocol adherence in a manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning and compliance documentation.
