Job Title:
Sanitation Technician Job Summary:
Bridor USA is seeking a dedicated, reliable and experienced Sanitation Technician to join our team in Vineland, NJ. The primary responsibility of this position is to clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facilities to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food production. This role is critical in maintaining product quality and food safety standards. This position will also function as a Housekeeper on their assigned line and shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Dismantle, clean, and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facilities using appropriate chemicals and tools Ensure that all cleaning and sanitation tasks comply with established procedures Wash and sanitize various parts and tools within the sanitation area Use the appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents for different areas of the facility Clean plant workspaces, including areas between production lines, storage areas, warehouses, sanitation zones, and assigned line housekeeping areas Maintain cleaning tools and sanitation equipment (scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, etc.) Perform housekeeping duties on assigned production line and shift Instruct plant workers on the proper chemicals to use during plant shutdowns Advise plant workers on required personal protective equipment (PPE) when using chemicals Ensure correct concentrations of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers are used Operate motorized equipment to clean plant floors Participate in training and mentoring new employees Follow all facility rules and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols Complete tasks as directed by the
Sanitation Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or Quality Supervisor Job Requirements:
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Punctual and reliable for scheduled job assignments Strong initiative and organizational skills
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of and adherence to safety, health, environmental, and company rules Understanding of and ability to follow GMPs and HACCP standards Familiarity with BRC requirements
Knowledge & Other Requirements:
Ability to read, write, and count in Spanish; English is a plus Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and the ability to read them Ability to handle and use chemicals safely Ability to move/transport boxes weighing up to 40 pounds Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Ability to work in noisy and cold environments, and environments with flour Ability to work in confined spaces at varying temperatures, both hot and cold, to complete cleaning assignments Ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs for cleaning assignments
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Previous experience in sanitation and chemical handling is a must

Work Schedule:
Must be available for any 3-day shift rotation (example: Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Sunday), day or night shift, depending on production needs
Work Hours:
36-48 hour work week, 12-hour shifts as required by production schedule
Pay Rate:
$23.50 per hour
Availability Requirement:
Must be available for any 3-day shift schedule (including weekend rotations), either day or night shift, depending on production and line requirements #LI-DNI
