Essential Job FunctionsAssist in the packaging and stacking of eggs during production hoursClean processing machines and surrounding areas during downtime using approved safety procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout)Sanitize processing areas using high-pressure water hoses and approved cleaning chemicalsTransport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of work zonesFollow biosecurity and sanitation protocols strictlyPerform daily and deep-cleaning tasks as assignedComply with all company policies, including food safety, safety, and animal welfare standardsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications0-2 years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with sanitation procedures and cleaning chemicals Basic mechanical aptitude to clean, reset, and perform minor maintenance on equipment Understanding of basic preventive maintenance principles and practices Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and equipment care Physical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for long periods Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Basic troubleshooting skills for common equipment issuesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Basic understanding of preventive maintenance conceptsAbility to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demandPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience in sanitation or food production environmentsKnowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety proceduresBilingual skills (e.g., Spanish/English) a plusWork EnvironmentThe work environment primarily consists of indoor activities within a food processing plant. Employees can expect exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as various cleaning chemicals used in sanitation processes. The job involves regular physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday. To ensure safety, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including gloves, eye protection, and waterproof gear. Additionally, the role occasionally involves working with basic maintenance tools and equipment as part of preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
