Position Summary:
The Sanitation Technician 1 must comply with all plant
GMP, SQF
Quality and Safety, Food Safety and Bio-Security procedures. The Sanitation Tech 1 is a training and evaluation level position. This job classification will reflect the training and onboard of Sanitation Technicians to ensure they are proficient in the procedures and skills needed to conduct and maintain the sanitation expectations. At the end of the training period and once proficiencies are confirmed, the member will be moved to the Sanitation Technician 2 position. During the training period, the member must have excellent attendance.
Shift and Wage:
Monday - Friday 10:55pm - 7:00am
Payrate:
$16.50; Shift differential $2.00
•Occasional Mandatory OT including weekends
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Learn and establish proficiency in sanitation operating procedures Learn and establish proficiency in proper use of chemicals during sanitation activities Learn and establish proficiency in the 7 steps of sanitation Learn and establish proficiency in the process of foaming and how it should be done Learn and establish proficiency on how to sanitize Learn and establish proficiency on how to run both washers in sanitation room Learn and establish proficiency on how to clean drains Learn and establish proficiency on how to foam and scrub floors Learn and establish proficiency in to titrate chemicals Learn and establish proficiency in how to clean all parts for all areas and lines Learn and establish proficiency on how to do self-checks on own equipment to ensure cleaning was effective Learn and establish proficiency in filling out all paperwork and finish checklists at the end of night Learn plant floor and operations Other duties and/or projects may be assigned.

Food Safety:

Work Environment:
The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which may require special safety precautions working around moving machines in production facilities, protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and shoes may be required. May be able to work in a cold environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and may be exposed to wet and humid conditions. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to use distant and peripheral vision, identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus. May work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining places.
