Under general supervision, provides recordkeeping, basic customer service and administrative support at truck scales and in office.Shift:
Wednesday-Saturday 6:45am-5:45pm Essential Responsibilities Directs trucks to scale and records full and empty weights. Calculates and collects fees and records charges. Compiles record of inbound and outbound material weights by category (such as recyclables). Performs data entry of types of commodities (e.g., green waste, recycled) on loads brought in by trucks; records material weights by category. Inspects and ensures validity of loads. Monitors truck radio; responds in case of emergency or problem. Performs varied office tasks as needed. May be required to calculate payment to customers for recycled materials. For sites that accept hazardous waste materials: Ensures that all materials being accepted are appropriate given stated standards. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year of related experience in office or public contact work.
