Memaloose Rest Area (11 miles west of The Dalles) See MAP for location. You MUST reside within 60 minutes of the rest area. This recruitment will remain open until filled. Apply now if interested. As a Rest Area Technician with the Oregon Travel Information Council (TIC), you'll help travelers, maintain essential facilities, and play a vital role in public safety. This fill-in position offers flexible scheduling, you work as needed, including weekends and holidays. Perfect for extra hours or flexible work!

What You'll Do:

Maintain restrooms, buildings, and grounds clean and safe Conduct security checks to ensure visitor safety Perform minor repairs and general maintenance Keep walkways, roadways, and parking areas clear

What We're Looking For:

Works well independently and with others Friendly, approachable, and able to assist the public, law enforcement, and staff Experience (or ability) in janitorial tasks, basic repairs, and groundskeeping Reliable, follows instructions, and completes tasks accurately

Working Conditions:
