Under moderate supervision, assists Master Waste & Recycling Technician, or Waste & Recycling Technician Class 1 or 2 by helping load and transport various waste materials or surplus items using large waste collection vehicle, box truck, or stake body. Additionally, may be required to operate a small utility vehicle to collect trash, recycling, or organic waste (compost) throughout campus. Duties and Responsibilities:

Hooks up and/or operates compactors, waste receptacles, and dumpsters throughout campus. Operates vehicle in accordance with all local, municipal, state and federal laws. Immediately reports any unsafe situations to supervisor or Public Safety. Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by the University.
