Description Position at Pilgrim's
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive Maintenance (PM):- Performing routine inspections, lubricating machinery, changing fluids, and testing equipment to prevent failures before happens.
Equipment Repair:
- Troubleshooting malfunctions, rebuilding pumps, replacing impellers/seals, and repairing underground pipes or electrical controls.
Collection System Upkeep:
- Cleaning sewer lines, removing blockages, and operating equipment like jt flushers to ensure a steady flow of wastewater.
Plant Maintenance:
- Servicing physical structures, tanks, valves, grit chambers, and UV disinfection systems used throughout the five stages of wastewater treatment.
- Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred.BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General mathematics ability required to perform job
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
- Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
- Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends) EOE, including disability/vets
