• Part-time VCS is seeking a Part Time Trash Tech. Must have reliability, and consistency and attendance are extremely important for this job. Ability to regularly attend work, and be on a time, have great customer service and also dealing with others effectively are essential functions to this job. Availability is required for Saturday and Sunday

Hour Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions and Key Responsibilities:

Under general direction, of the EVS Manager/Supervisor, the Trash Tech is responsible for picking up trash and pulling trash for pickup carts

• trash compactor, easy green and recycling.

Trash Tech must demonstrate ability to organize time and procedure. Essential Functions Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. Completes work assignments in a timely manner. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Uses and maintains equipment properly. Assists visitors with directions whenever requested. Reports Safety Hazards. Transports trash and waste to appropriate disposal area. Replenishes supplies. Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions. Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties. Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision. Observes safety precautions at all times. Maintains age specific safety precautions. Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives. Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Replace liners and ensure waste receptacles are properly maintained Transport waste to designated disposal areas following facility procedures Maintain a consistent trash route and complete rounds on schedule Report to work on time and as scheduled. Wear identification while on duty. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work. Ability to push and pull heavy objects and repetitive motions. Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods This position requires full range of body motion, lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently, stand walk, bend, reach through out the shift. Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields but will train the right person Familiarity with cleaning materials and equipment Strong attention to detail Must pass a Background Check Must be Authorized to Work in the
