JOB SUMMARY
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the sanitizing of the interior and maintaining cleanliness of the exterior of the building and parking areas. They help ensure the building and grounds are audit ready at all times.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
Cleaning of the office area of the building, empty trash cans, bathrooms, vacuuming, etc. Performs cleaning according to the Master Sanitation Schedule Sanitize incoming equipment Assists in maintaining control of cleaning chemicals and accurately dilutes chemicals to their prescribed dilution specifications Provide Operations staff needed cleaning chemicals and supplies Maintain chemical safety, ensuring chemicals are stored and handled according to the chemical Safety Data Sheet. Maintain cleanliness of the facility as needed, removing trash, cleaning surfaces, etc. Operate the floor scrubber and manage collection of dust on the floors Other duties and functions may be assigned.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required; Technical training preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in a related field required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position frequently works in extreme heat conditions where there is exposure to temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit for more than one hour. Exposure to fumes, dust, or other airborne particles, and will perform work in crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, sewage, and water line pipes, or other areas that could cause claustrophobia. There are seldom times that this position will be working in an office environment. This position will be working near moving mechanical parts or powered industrial trucks, working in high, precarious places, and exposed to allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position frequently requires use of hands, hearing/listening, talking, standing, walking, and bending/stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling/squatting, reaching overhead, pulling/pushing, and lifting to 50 pounds.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
