JOB PURPOSE
As directed by the Scrub Sweep Supervisor, this position operates equipment to clean and extend the service life of our parking facilities. This position is also responsible for maintaining equipment including parking scrubbers, sweepers, pressure washers, and trucks. Also responsible for snow removal in the winter.
JOB SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 9:00pm-5:30am
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Operate large sweeping and scrubbing equipment to clean parking lots and garages Operate industrial level power wash to wash walls and floors of parking garages Maintain sweeping and scrubbing equipment with light mechanical and repair/preventative maintenance Graffiti removal Other duties as assigned
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check Exhibit regular and consistent attendance in a timely manner at the place of work Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work various shift days, hours and holidays when assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
High School diploma or equivalent required Clean driving record Ability to climb ladders and work in all weather Ability to operate cleaning equipment Ability to identify and resolve minor mechanical problems Ability to understand and follow directions and work as part of a team Must be able to work with arms above shoulders for long periods of time Ability to work evenings and/or weekends Highly safety conscious
JOB WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to independently lift and position object as much as 50 pounds. Ability to team lift and position objects weighting as much as 100 pounds. Ability to walk, stand, drive, sit, squat, kneel, bend, twist, and turn for the better part of 8 hours Ability to climb stairs and ladders, walk long distances and work in all types of weather conditions Ability to work with arms raised above head for long period of time Ability to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools Ability to complete on call work after hours and weekends when necessary Daily interaction with all levels of staff Local travel between office and various job sites
