Job Description
Join our team and play an important role in keeping our landfill operations safe, efficient, and running smoothly! This hands-on position operates heavy equipment, assists with waste inspections, and helps direct traffic across the site. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a hardworking team that keeps the community moving, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a dynamic environment. As a Landfill Technician, you will: Operate, with some supervision, all landfill equipment, including front-end loader, backhoe, bulldozer, trash compactor, dump truck, and any other related equipment. Complete daily maintenance checks and prepare required documentation. Service and make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment. Direct traffic or serve as a spotter at the landfill. Assist with waste inspections. Assist with mulching and tire shredding operations. May be required to work non-routine hours for snow removal or other emergencies. Performs related duties as assigned. Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the operation of motorized equipment. Must possess a valid Driver's License and have held it for at least 2 years. High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
