Job Description

Summary:
The Sanitation Worker position is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the entire plant and grounds. First Shift Schedule•6:30am•2:30pm
Pay Range:
$20.14•21.67
Primary Duties:
This is an hourly position that involves the sanitation of the entire plant and grounds, including but not limited to: Mill Building, Office Building, Warehouse, Loadout Area, railcars, Feed Shed, B-Mill loadout room, Annex and Tank area. This position will also clean and inspect inside of temper bins, finished product bins, and conduct MSS responsibilities. Along with any other work not listed above scheduled by the Sanitation/Elevator Manager. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at any given time. Sweeping and the shoveling of product piles is common. Climbing ladders is required at times. Be trainable on equipment such as a tractor or forklift Must observe and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as set forth by Miller Milling Company in accordance with BRC standards. Responsibility to food safety regulations. Clean assigned areas daily Clean up mill chokes and take to designated area: re-work, feed, or trash Brush down mill equipment and overhead pipes Keep floors clean with dry mop•wet mop when needed Wet-clean dirty areas with appropriate cleaning chemicals Help with changing filter socks
Other Responsibilities:
Clean load out tanks for product loading Help work sifters on repair days Help change rolls on repair days Help unload freight shipments Cross train in other departments as back ups Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Strong problem solving abilities Must be able to use, or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job Basic computer skills Detail oriented Proven written and verbal communication skills Position requires the ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds Individual is recognized as a Qualified Individual under FSMA compliance requirements
