Job Description
We are looking for a Buyer to support health information and procurement-related activities in Elma, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can work effectively with healthcare data systems while coordinating purchasing functions in a structured environment. The role requires strong familiarity with clinical information platforms and legacy business applications to help maintain accurate records and support daily operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities for assigned materials, services, or system-related needs while maintaining accuracy and timeliness throughout the procurement cycle.
- Review and maintain health information records and related documentation to support organized, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Use AHLTA, McKesson, and other electronic health record platforms to access, verify, and update information required for business and clinical support processes.
- Work within IBM AS/400 and other internal systems to track transactions, monitor data, and maintain complete procurement and recordkeeping documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm requirements, resolve order or data issues, and ensure requested items or information are delivered as expected.
- Monitor system entries and reporting details to identify discrepancies, follow up on outstanding items, and help maintain data integrity across platforms.
- Support operational changes involving healthcare information or purchasing systems when needed, including updates tied to application or workflow adjustments.
- Prepare routine status updates, purchasing records, and supporting documentation for team review and ongoing process visibility.
