Job Description:
Responsibilities Process and release purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system based on production schedules, raw material demand, and operational requirements for chemical and liquid manufacturing environments, with a target turnaround of 24-48 hours. Review and validate purchase order details including quantities, minimum order requirements, delivery schedules, pricing, material specifications, packaging requirements, and supplier information. Coordinate supplier acknowledgments and manage changes to purchase orders, including adjustments to delivery timing, batch quantities, and material availability. Work closely with chemical and liquid raw material suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing, quality, transportation, lead times, and supply continuity. Lead recurring supplier review meetings focused on open orders, inventory risks, supplier performance, logistics challenges, and critical material shortages. Monitor inventory dashboards, demand signals, and shortage reports to identify at-risk raw materials, packaging components, and production supply concerns. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, planning, quality, operations, logistics, and procurement teams to support manufacturing schedules and long lead-time material planning. Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records to support inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, audit traceability, and supplier performance metrics. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Chemical Operations, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 3-5 years of purchasing or buyer experience within chemical manufacturing, liquid processing, industrial manufacturing, or related process industries; multi-site experience preferred. Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, inventory control, bulk chemical or liquid material logistics, and distribution workflows. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills along with hands-on ERP/MRP system experience. Strong negotiation, supplier management, communication, and problem-solving skills within fast-paced manufacturing environments. Ability to manage shifting priorities, mitigate supply chain risks, support production continuity, and drive timely resolution of material shortages or delivery issues.
