We're hiring a Strategic Buyer to manage purchasing operations, strengthen vendor partnerships, and drive cost-effective sourcing strategies in a production environment.

Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account (HSA), employee assistance program (EAP), commuter benefits, employee discounts, and more What You'll Do Manage the full lifecycle of purchasing activities, including processing, tracking, and maintaining purchasing records Source materials, equipment, and supplies while negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers Leverage annual spend and purchasing trends to develop cost-saving sourcing strategies Prepare and evaluate vendor quotes and bid comparisons to support purchasing decisions Expedite critical or delayed orders to ensure uninterrupted plant operations Build and maintain a preferred vendor database based on cost, quality, and reliability Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, warehouse, and operations to resolve discrepancies and support scheduling needs Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal approvals and external regulations (SOX, Dodd-Frank) Research logistics and supply chain solutions to support plant requirements Develop strong working knowledge of ERP systems to support procurement processes What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Solid understanding of cost control, sourcing strategies, and supply chain processes Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Why This Role Stands Out This is a high-impact role where your decisions directly influence cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
