Essential Job DutiesSpecific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Review and analyze MRP requirements against planned order and exception reports to determine purchasing actions required against supply and demandReview and monitor supply/demand information, and take appropriate actions to ensure minimal 95% fill rate in support of production schedulesExecute and manage the entire purchase order process for assigned part categories, including appropriate documentation, data entry, submission, order expediting, delivery, and reconciliation of related issuesMonitor & action aging Purchase Requisitions (PRs), create Purchase Orders (POs), update PO Promise Dates from suppliers, and manage PO schedule changes / react to ERP exception messages in a timely mannerManage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess inventoryMaintain purchasing item attributes, such as lead times, cost, UOM, supplier information, as well as related vendor attributes, within the company ERP systemLead purchasing activities within part category ownership with Manufacturing, Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Quality, and/or Engineering departments as needed to solve complex material supply issues and maintain inventory at planned levelsMaintain purchasing item attributes, such as lead times, cost, UOM, supplier information, as well as related vendor attributes, within the company ERP systemIdentification and understanding of critical suppliers within assigned part categories; develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers; regular open order review and management, mitigation, and/or escalation of critical supplier OTD, cost, and quality performanceCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure purchased materials meet the required specifications and ensure root cause, corrective actions are submitted in a timely fashionProvide input to Strategic Sourcing Managers on key vendor performance; participate in QBRs or supplier audits as needed; partner on sourcing projects on incumbent supplier transition plans, while mitigating disruption risk from existing footprintIdentification and understanding of critical suppliersSupport supplier consolidation in alignment with Strategic SourcingUnderstand value stream capacity plan in S&OP and SAP; ensure supply base and procurement plans are in place to meet requirements and ensure that forecasts, demand planning, material planning, and schedule requirements are aligned and integratedMaintain supplier capacity modeling for supply chain capabilities for short (0
Experience working with advanced manufacturing techniques: KANBAN, pull systems, VMI, LEAN. Not required but highly desirable.
Knowledge and experience with quality tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Yellow Belt or Higher, FAI, FMEA, DFM. objectives. The ideal candidate must be able to support the procurement activities and the strategic objectives within a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility for this position is to maintain in-stock goals based on timely stock, forecast review & improve supply chain material flow through analysis. Responsible for all aspects of the purchase order, inventory control and vendor management with key supplier partners.Essential Job DutiesSpecific duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
