Position Profile The Clinical Coordinator oversees the planning, coordination, and quality assurance of student clinical placements within the nursing program. This role serves as a key liaison between the academic institution and clinical agencies, ensuring that students are placed in appropriate learning environments that align with course objectives and program outcomes. This role is central to ensuring a seamless, compliant, and high-quality clinical education experience for nursing students. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students; demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow, adjust to changes in work assignments and work with others to complete required projects; demonstrated superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to relate and work collegially, constructively, and effectively with a variety of stakeholders, groups and individuals, as well as the ability to work independently. Applicant Evaluative Criteria Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Nursing or a related health field
Experience and Training:
Two (2) years' clinical experience as an RN. Connecticut State License as an RN. Ideal Candidate Preference will be given to applicants with the following: Master's degree from an accredited university or college in nursing or a related health field Experience using the Castlebranch and Exxat clinical health and education management systems. Experience supporting student learning in healthcare settings. Experience coordinating clinical requirements Experiencing collaborating with academic and healthcare partners.
