Non-Exempt Hourly Position Purpose:
Responsible for managing and optimizing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. This role involves coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, communicating with carriers and vendors, and resolving transportation issues. Logistics Coordinators maintain accurate records, monitor supply chain performance, and collaborate with internal teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Principle Accountabilities Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups with carriers and vendors. Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding order status and logistics updates. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or issues. Maintain accurate logistics records, including shipping documents, invoices, and inventory data. Confirm that orders are reserved properly according to established procedures. Ensure all orders are properly received at the plant level for shipping according to the ship date and priority code. Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards. Investigate and solve order issues that are in error, by working with our plants and third-party companies. Maintain proper accountability of inventory in our ERP system. Performs receiving and shipment transactions, based on documents provided by third parties. Manage inventory levels and assist with demand planning and stock control. Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Essential Skills and Experience High school diploma required. Associate's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics or manufacturing of high-volume consumer products required. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Proficiency in logistics or ERP systems (e.g., AS400, SAP, Oracle, or TMS platforms) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to analyze data and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements. Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in recordkeeping and reporting.
