Job Description Our Metal Solutions business offers a comprehensive portfolio of metal roof and wall systems and complete pre-engineered building systems that are optimized for strength, durability and design flexibility. Our portfolio of brands is supported by our industry leading expertise and our relentless focus on processes and technologies that enable our customers to operate faster, easier and in a more connected way. Cornerstone Building Brands has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Representative to support and grow Hypersteel® Cold Form Buildings. This position is functioning as a liaison between sales and customers for design support, software troubleshooting, and assisting with engineering-related order changes. It supports both the sales function during the sales process, and then the technical function of navigating the software for product updates and enhancements. At times, deployment to customers' location or tradeshows for on-site This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical mindset for process and products, excellent communication skills, and experience within the metal building, roofing, wall panel, or broader construction products industry. The right candidate will be comfortable discussing technical details, educating customers on products and technology solutions, and helping customers successfully bring projects to market.
Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors, and other key industry partners Support multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks, and turnkey building providers Work across a brand-agnostic environment, supporting multiple product lines and routes to market Train customers on the technology platforms, product and process details to support them through the sales and building process Oversee video training and product manuals to discuss onsite challenges and issues Help customers understand metal building systems, product applications, and installation processes Identify and develop new business opportunities across various customer segments and markets Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, operations, engineering, and sales leadership to support customer and project success Assist customers with navigating systems, processes, project coordination, and product selection Support business development initiatives focused on expanding adoption of light gauge steel building solutions Provide a high level of customer service while helping resolve issues and appropriately manage customer expectations Build credibility with customers through strong communication, product knowledge, responsiveness, and relationship management Visit job sites for key first time customers and installers to validate proper inventory management, structural compliance, and execution of correct installation procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 3 years equivalent experience in the Construction Industry 2 years of steel building design and/or erection experience Track record of developing a deep understanding of customer and market needs Self-starter with ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work independently Proficient with MS Office Suite, CRM, and other ERP order softwares Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skill Ability to travel up to 50% Occasional lifting of product samples, literature, or training materials up to 25 lbs Proactive team thinker and customer-centric Additional Information The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
